What

This interactive workshop will introduce participants to some theoretical concepts of group dynamics and how to work with groups and teams as a facilitator. During this workshop, participants will:

  • Have the opportunity to engage with small and large groups to experience group dynamics and facilitation in action
  • This ‘here and now’ experience will be followed by the opportunity for participants to critically reflect and learn together
  • Develop a better understanding of theories underpinning group dynamics, building experience of reflecting in the here and now
  • Connect with a network of peers in a supportive and social environment

Why

To be able to facilitate and understand group dynamics are essential skills for managers, consultants, trainers and individual contributors working in every kind of organisation. Efficient and effective groups are likely to see an increased capacity for team members to work together on tough challenges to reach collective outcomes, increased levels of trust between team members, a greater inclusion of diverse people and perspectives and more effective meetings.

This workshop suits experienced OD and Facilitation Practitioners interested in both the theory and practice of working with groups.
