Assistant Head of Governance/Company Secretary
Fixed Term for 6 months (could lead to a permanent role)

Flexible working (the equivalent of 3 days per week)

Predominantly Remote Working

Salary: £45,000

We are Roffey Park Institute, a registered charity and a leading international executive education institute which is growing, ambitious and at the cutting edge of learning. With our Head Office in Horsham, West Sussex, we also have offices in both Dublin and Singapore.

We are looking for an experienced, proactive Assistant Head of Governance/Company Secretary to join our team, initially for a term of six months.

You will work in collaboration with other managers and staff to:

  • Participate in the operational management of the Roffey Park organisation, to ensure there is a joined up, effective and profitable focus on our revenue, growth and portfolio targets
  • Provide a high-quality service as Company Secretary to the Board
  • Work with the Chair and CEO to develop and maintain effective governance processes
  • Advise on legal, contract and risk matters across all functions, in line with organisational purchasing rules or in developing contractual negotiations with clients and partners
  • Develop charitable projects and partnerships that increase access, awareness and advance our charitable mission

You are:

  • Proactive and confident in your ability to deliver consistently high standards and a customer focused approach
  • Able to operate successfully with a wide range of stakeholders including the Board of Trustees, CEO, Management Team, staff, external bodies and partner organisations
  • A team player, achieving set goals and objectives by working with and through others
  • Able to analyse information to make informed judgements and to appraise risk
  • Diplomatic with a keen attention to detail
  • Resilient and relentless in your approach to delivering results
  • Flexible & Adaptable
  • Computer literate and conversant with current uses of information technology

You have:

  • A relevant degree and/or professional post-graduate qualification (e.g. ICSA, ACCA, MBA, etc.)
  • Proven leadership and team working capabilities as well as experience of working autonomously using your own initiative.
  • Previous experience in a Governance/Company Secretariat role
  • Knowledge and understanding of charity/education governance
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation as it affects the charity/education sector

Web and Content Developer

£30-£35,000, depending on experience

Full-time (part time considered)

Remote working with one day in the office

We are Roffey Park Institute, a registered charity and a leading international executive education institute which is growing, ambitious and at the cutting edge of learning. With our Head Office in Horsham, West Sussex, we also have offices in both Dublin and Singapore.

We’re looking for a Web and Content Developer to join our marketing team to help us boost our online presence through our website and digital channels.  You will have a vital role to play in ensuring our digital channels reach and engages with new audiences. You need to be a confident and proactive developer with creative and technical expertise to turn content into a great digital UX. 

Day to day you will be responsible for managing and developing our websites and intranet, so you need to be experienced with WordPress and PHP.  You’ll need to be confident and resourceful to solve issues and come up with creative solutions.  You’ll also be responsible for creating impactful digital content that will raise brand awareness and drive traffic to our website. 

You will need:

  • Experience with JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS.
  • Experienced with WordPress
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation
  • A strong eye for creative design
  • Strong organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work collaboratively across teams as well as autonomously
