What

This interactive workshop will explore the idea of improving how safety and belonging will help to improve organisational culture. During this workshop, participants will:

  • Critically self-reflect on the approaches that contribute towards improving psychological safety and belonging in the workplace
  • Understand the importance of dialogue to solve challenges faced when building safety in teams
  • Examine the practical and theoretical insights and actions taken to build safety and inclusion

Why

Psychological safety is viewed as an essential element of effective teamwork. A psychologically safe space will encourage people to open up and be honest. For example, without encouraging a psychologically safe space, employees tend to just stay safe, do the minimum, do what they need to do to get away and take no accountability if things go wrong. Safety and belonging can encourage innovation, confidence, progressiveness and relationship building.
